![]() To see what I mean, download this graphic - and load it in Resolve and your NLE of choice. I'm a patient guy but it's wearing a little thin on this one. He said it was on a very long list of things and, while not at the top, it wasn't forever away and to give it a few releases. I was told it was on the list of things to get fixed by a Resolve product manager back in the middle of March of this year. From what I'm told, they behave incorrectly in UltraScope as well. They've been broken since Resolve 9 and, apparently, no one else has noticed or has and doesn't much care. I REALLY wish they would fix the waveform monitor/RGB parade graphs. The free version also limits you to UHD resolution (instead of full 4K) and one processing GPU or one REDRocket card. The free version is an incredibly powerful piece of software, and it contains all of the same color correction and editing features of the full version with the exceptions of stereoscopic workflow capabilities, remote grading, and temporal noise reduction. With that said, it's still lacking some of the major editing features, most notably multi-cam editing, that would make it comparable to other NLEs on the market.Īs always, DaVinci Resolve comes in two distinct flavors, Resolve Lite, which is free, and the full version, which comes in at $1000. ![]() For anybody not wanting to invest in an NLE, or pay month to month, Resolve Lite could very well provide most, if not all, of the basic editing functionality that you need. ![]() As you can see above, Resolve has some tremendously powerful and intuitive editing features, especially when it comes to trimming content in the timeline. Of course, the most talked-about aspect of the new Resolve is its increased editing abilities. ![]()
